This is just a reminder to keep those closing documents handy since you will need them for your tax returns.
If you use an accountant to prepare your tax returns, just be sure to send a
copy of your closing statement to your accountant.
If you prepare your tax returns yourself, you will want to make note of the items you can deduct from your taxes. The most obvious are property taxes and discount points. Even though your property taxes were prorated, you will be able to deduct the amount you were debited at closing.
Your closing statement will give you the figures you need for these categories.
Let me know if you need further information.
Thank you,
Shan Roberts

want to know what your homes are selling for in your tract just
